ChemQuest has experience in providing training in QSAR and multivariate methods for chemists with various levels of experience. Courses can be tailored to your needs, ChemQuest calling on other experts if required. A range of topics can be covered, for example -
- compound selection
- regression analysis
- multivariate methods
- data display
- multiple response data
Training is available for groups or individuals, either at your site or at ChemQuest. Training modules (listed below) typically take the form of a 30-45 minute lecture followed by a workshop where delegates can explore the methods just described. A workshop lasts approximately 1.5 hours and can be run for all of the modules except those marked with a *. The workshops are based on Minitab (Minitab, Inc.), Simca (Umetri, AB), and/or Paragon (Centre for Molecular Design, University of Portsmouth, UK). Demo copies of these programs are available. Typically four to five modules can be run in a day; brief contents lists are available separately for these modules.
Please contact us to discuss your training requirements.
In addition to customer specific training, David Livingstone has been involved in a number of courses, for example -
- DJL has lectured on M.Sc. and B.Sc. courses in medicinal chemistry, toxicology, and pharmacy.
- DJL was the course organizer of the first Royal Society of Chemistry Residential School in QSAR (November 1994); he also lectured and demonstrated on the course.
- DJL has taught the QSAR element of a molecular modelling course at the University of Cambridge Centre for Molecular Recognition (April 1992, March 1994).
- DJL was a course tutor on a Multivariate Analysis workshop (November 1988) organised by the Society of Chemical Industry.
¹For onsite training, these modules require other software.
